SAN DIEGO SUNROAD BOAT SHOW IS BACK JAN. 26-29, 2012
SAN DIEGO, CA. (September 27, 2011) – San Diego Sunroad Boat Show is back by popular demand. Hosted by the Sunroad Resort Marina, the 22-year annual tradition will be held January 26-29, 2012 and will be expanding this year with the addition of more floating docks to moor several larger vessels. Attendees will also be able to enjoy free boat rides, food, music, beer and spirits–making a great time for all to enjoy a day on the San Diego Bay.
The San Diego Sunroad Boat Show will be in the Sunroad Marina, located downtown at 955 Harbor Island. Show hours are: Thursday, January 26 from noon to 6 p.m., Friday, January 27 from noon to 6 p.m., Saturday, January 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, January 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
General parking ($10) is located at the corner of Harbor Dr. and Harbor Island Dr., shuttle service included. Entrance fees are as follows: $10.00 for adults, with children under 12 free. Military, EMTs, Police and Fire personnel are free on Thursday, January 26 with ID.
The Port of San Diego will be hosting a seminar at Noon on Saturday and Sunday and will discuss the Hull Paint Conversion Project grant designed to help San Diego boaters offset the cost of switching their bottom paint to new non-biocide coatings.
Boaters looking for information on cruising south of the border can attend Dick Markie's "Cruising Mexico" seminars at 1:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Markie designed, built and managed Paradise Village Marina in Puerto Vallarta and has years of experience cruising in Mexico.
